"Thanks for 2 great NYC shows! The Apple in-store was amazing! It was really nice of you guys to hang out afterwards meet with us and sign stuff. And later, Webster Hall was absolutely phenomenal!!!!! Paul, you wowed us with your animated bass playing! Simon, your skills on the guitar were amazing! Tony, you played ever-so-cool! And Damon with your brilliantly haunting vocals and fervent piano playing made for an unforgettable performance! Many thanks for gracing us with your presence!!!!!!!! "

"The Webster Hall show last night was unbelievable. I knew that we were going to see four real talents perform and that the show would be unlike anything I've seen before, but I'm still amazed at just how great it was. Not boring for one moment. Damon and Paul are true showmen and work amazingly well together. Simon is ultra-cool. Tony - wow. Watching him drum was mesmerizing. I could not figure out how he could make so many different sounds with so little obvious movement. And major kudos to Paul for taking time out to meet us afterward and put up with my slow ass camera. It meant a lot to this lifelong Clash fan to get a few minutes with him! What an experience! "

" I went to the Webster Hall show last night......absolutely brilliant. They soounded great, and, of course, looked great. For us to see Paul Simonon live, a bass-playing god, was breath-taking. And, as Tony Allen himself said, Damon is a bloody genius. His voice is unforgettable, haunting, and simply beautiful. This is what music is all about.....and I thank them for a brilliant night. xxxx"

"Thought that I would add my comments about the NYC show.... Well from Aylesbury UK (5 February 2007) to New York City (12 March 2007)...what an exciting "circle" this has been. I knew from the first moment I saw and heard the band from the Electric Proms this was going to be something special. The "electricity" at Webster Hall was fantastic...reminds me of gigs back in the 80's when folks really made an effort to get dressed up for shows and made a night of it. I couldn't believe how many people were packed into the venue!! I took my place in the balcony very close to the stage and had a fantastic view despite the hanging speaker stacks. It was such a treat to watch Tony and his masterful approach to percussion...incredible. At one point Damon looked up to the balcony for a few moments and without thinking I gave a little wave as if he could see anyone, let alone me...he did flash a bit of a smile so who knows! I just loved the chemistry on stage between Damon and Paul, especially when Paul just walked over to Damon and rested his bass on the piano and just watched Damon play...it was an act of respect for a fellow musician. Simon is just as amazing to watch when you consider the difficulty of some of the pieces. I am just in awe of these musicians and their talents. I am thrilled to have seen the band in the UK and US and now going through withdrawal and wondering when and if the opportunity to see them again will ever arise. It is about time that real musicians and music were given the attention they deserve. If you haven't seen this band, do yourself a favor and get to one of their shows and buy the album...it will be the best money you will spend for many years to come!! Hope to post some videos soon. Thanks to the band for the memorable shows. Fingers crossed, I will be at a future show. Cheers!! Gabi I went to the Webster Hall show last night......absolutely brilliant. "Just had to add my thoughts from Monday's NYC show. This was my first time seeing any of the guys live and it was amazing! The show was so good it was over before I knew it! Great hearing the album from start to finish. Highlights for me include: Damon commanding the string section to play by raising his arms and lunging toward them. Paul using the audience as "target practice" with his mighty bass. Tony's controlled and memorable inflections throughout. Simon's solid guitar, with beautiful effects on "Kingdom of Doom" The burning incense which filled the room throughout the show. Damon explaining to us Yanks that bunting is the English equivalent of what we call flags. "Doghouse"...very cool!!! Watching Eslam come out for "Mr. Whippy" and having everyone hold up the peace sign. Paul saying thank you and goodnight to us. Damon giving the orders during one of the songs. I know some of these things have been brought out, but they are worth repeating. "

"what a great show! i caught a good spot on an elevated area to the side, not in with the sweat and the elbows, but a great view. webster hall was much smaller than i expected. didn't realize how much of the album is paul, but i guess that's what you get for being a damon fan and not being able to play an instrument. damon sitting at the piano crouched over, knees up and top hat was cracking me up, he's like a little boy. the songs sounded amazing. the only thing i was disappointed about was the encore, just kinda lame. i mean those songs were kinda d-side level. i was impressed also by the crowd - that was definetly the most enthusiastic nyc audience i've seen in a while. hey when's the next show? "

"I was lucky enough to see TGTBATQ this past Monday night in NYC. The show was fantastic. The band was tight and lively. Damon took center stage in conducting and cajoling the band through an hour of riveting music. Paul's bass cast an incredible presence as it throbbed and rattled the hall in a classic reggae/dub "wobble". Tony Allen was spot on in his seemingly effortless way. He poured it on and pulled it back with the touch of the genius he is. (Young Drummers take note!!!) Simon was the anchor on guitar. He is so unflappable that it is almost comical. He actually smiled once!!!! The addition of a string quartet and keyboards fill out the sound perfectly. There was little stage banter as the group galloped through the album cuts and Paul fired Bass bombs through the crowd as he sauntered and danced like a crawdaddy. Damon was in great voice and the crowd loved every minute of it. It seemed that they really enjoyed being back in the Big Apple. The encore was a new afrobeat instrumental titled "Doghouse" and a rousing version of "Mr. Whippy". My friend who had not heard one song from the album was blown away. We watched from the balcony and interestingly enough before the show I had gone to the bar to get a couple of beers, as I was putting my change away some other customers came up and the bartender asked to see there wristbands ( for boozing ). I turned to look at them for a second and Holy S*** it's Paul Simonon!!!!! I was kind of flustered but quickly gathered my thoughts and wished him a " good show tonight and I love the Album". He stopped for a split second, smiled and extended his hand and said "Thanks very much". Pretty Cool!! Funny thing was nobody else even noticed him mingling with the crowd and watching the opening Magic act. After the show a friend got me into the VIP (so obnoxious a term) section where I had a nice conversation with Damon about music and the band and so on. A truly Gracious guy. My friends drunk sister was obnoxious and I was mortified so if you see this Mr. Albarn I apologize!!! Overall a Great night. I am kind of glad that the band did not do "Guns of Brixton" or any other old material. I never got the chance to see The Clash or Blur even though I am a big fan but there was something about this great new material that I feel would have been sullied by any attempt to revisit the past. This new stuff stands on its own. "
